Members—come solo or share your love of clay with a friend (or a few!) in this relaxed, creative Mud Mixer class designed for connection, play, and making something truly delightful.

In this single-session handbuilding class, you and your guest will create a textured ceramic vessel enhanced with charming sculptural adornments. Through guided instruction, you’ll explore surface texture, simple form-building, and small decorative elements that add personality and story to your piece. Think cozy details, whimsical touches, and tactile surfaces that invite the hand as much as the eye.

This class is intentionally lighthearted and social—perfect for introducing a friend to the Marvelous Mud experience or enjoying a creative moment together without a multi-week commitment. Whether your vessel becomes a planter, holder, or decorative accent, the focus is on shared creativity and joyful making.

What to expect:

• Guided handbuilding of a textured vessel

• Techniques for adding sculptural adornments and surface interest

• A bit of "spot glazing" on adornment
  

• A welcoming, relaxed studio atmosphere

• A finished piece ready for firing!

Who it’s for:

• Members attending solo

• Members bringing a guest (or guests!)

• Guests with no prior clay experience required

Class Info

• ALL CLAY IS INCLUDED - for you and your guest(s).

• Class Price is per person. As a perk to our members,  the class fee is discounted from our regular class price.

• Instruction will lead students to each hand-build their own pieces. All levels welcome.

• Adults Only (18 years and up) Only registered students are permitted in the studio.

• One Class... Hand-build pieces. These pieces will be constructed with toasty clay. The adornment will be glazed in the same class.

• Included: all clay and slip, use of tools and equipment, kiln firings, guided instruction.

• We start classes promptly on time. Class Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please email with any questions.
