Clay Tool - "Foot Stick" Tool - Designed by Rachelle - Produced by Stoic Clay Tools

When I set out to make a tool that could solve one of my main challenges in clay, this simple tool came to fruition. All the foot making tools I had tried had the same issue, a curved profile in the way of just addressing the foot and not effecting the other parts of the pot.

This dual purpose foot making tool has reach. That's the key. It has a straight line to the area its serving and it serves its purpose with ease and effectiveness. The two ends give options... curved or a bit angled.

It not only works on pieces thrown on the wheel but it also cleans up the base of handbuilt pieces as well as makes beautiful rounded tracks for surface design. A surprise discovered in the prototype stage, this "Foot Stick" as I call it, also makes rings in clay, wondrous voluptuous rings. Plus, it rounds rims like a champ. It is a treat to use!
