Clay Tool - "Mud Splash" Rib - Designed by Rachelle - Produced by Stoic Clay Tools

As a life long potter, I have developed a preference for tools that I use. I want them to feel sturdy and comfortable in my hand and serve their purpose with a bit of pizazz.

This "Mud Splash" tool is inspired by our Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio Logo and offers a variety of designs simply by using the different edges of the tool in a single piece. 

Fabulous for throwing, it also assists in elevating the surface design of handbuilt pieces.

Two sides are for creating profiles in different size cylinders that shape curvy silhouettes in tumblers, mugs, vases, and bowls. Two sides offer grooves and lines that can be used in unison with the each other or used in portions by themselves.

Above all, the "Mud Splash" tool feels great in your hands whether wet or dry. The weight is just enough to keep it from slipping when your hands are covered in slip and light enough to use when holding a piece in one hand and making marks using it in the other.

The large curve in either of the texture sides is also wonderful for forming the rim of your pieces.

To finish, each of these exclusive tools is laser marked with a Marvelous Mug logo and tagged with a charming pottery shaped info card.

Each one is going to be slightly different due to the natural variations in the wood.
