Bring vibrant color directly into your creative process with Colorworks™, our line of carefully formulated premixed Color Clay and Color Slip, developed at Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio (really the MMPS Annex😎).
Whether you're layering colorful slabs, creating intricate nerikomi patterns, marbling clay, carving through colored surfaces, or adding painted details with colored slip, Colorworks takes the guesswork out of color so you can focus on creating.
Our 14 Core Colors are available in both Premixed Color Clay and Premixed Color Slip. Simply choose your preferred product type and color from the available options.
Perfect for Every Project
Colorworks is designed to fit seamlessly into your existing creative process. Simply substitute Colorworks Color Clay for your regular clay wherever you'd like to introduce color into your build, or use Colorworks Color Slip anywhere you'd normally apply slip. Whether you're adding subtle accents or making color the star of the piece, Colorworks gives you the freedom to build with color from the very beginning.
Colorworks is also formulated to work beautifully alongside any of the stoneware clay bodies we offer at Marvelous Mud Pottery Studio. Combine it with your favorite studio clay to create layered designs, colorful accents, inlays, marbling, sculptural details, or bold color contrasts.
Core Collection
We're launching with 14 Core Colors that are intended to remain part of the permanent Colorworks collection. These colors will continue to be produced and restocked as inventory allows.
Because every batch is mixed in-house, availability may occasionally vary while we replenish inventory. If a color is temporarily out of stock, it will return as production continues.
Emerging Colors
Throughout the year, we'll introduce Emerging Colors produced in small batches. These special colors will be available only while supplies last.
As a Colorworks customer, you'll have the opportunity to try these new colors and share your feedback. We'll be listening closely to which colors inspire you, which become studio favorites, and which deserve a permanent place in the Core Collection. Over time, customer feedback and demand will help shape the future of the Colorworks palette.

Please Note
Every effort has been made to accurately represent each Colorworks color. However, colors displayed on phones, tablets, and computer monitors may vary from how they appear in person due to differences in screen settings and display technology.
We're currently creating fired sample boards for each color, which will soon be available to view in the studio. We encourage you to see these samples in person for the most accurate representation of each Colorworks color after firing.
As with all ceramic materials, the final fired appearance may also vary depending on glaze selection, firing temperature, firing atmosphere, and individual studio practices.
Thank you for supporting Colorworks. We can't wait to see what you create.
Backstory on the names...
Years ago when I taught fourth grade English and Creative Writing, one of my favorite mini-lessons was to have my students create their own box of crayons. Many of these names are from my "box" I created at that time for my brand Easola. Back then, they were blends of acrylics used to paint crayons on canvas. Today they are gorgeous hues of marvelous mud we get to use in creating masterpieces! 💜Rachelle
