Join us for this two-part Clay Adventure as you create your own functional ceramic owl inspired by storybook woodland charm. Whether your owl becomes a planter, vase, or glowing luminary, you'll build a piece that's both playful and beautifully handmade.

During the first session, you'll learn how to construct a sturdy owl form while adding expressive features, layered textures, and carved botanical details that make each owl completely unique.

When you return after bisque firing, you'll bring your owl to life with colorful glazes that highlight every carved feather, flower, and leafy vine. Choose from a variety of glaze combinations to create a piece that reflects your own style...from soft cottage garden florals to rich woodland tones.

By the end of the adventure, you'll have a one-of-a-kind functional sculpture that's equally at home displaying flowers, holding a favorite plant, or casting a warm glow as a luminary.

Your finished owl can become:

• A planter for succulents or small houseplants
• A vase for fresh or dried flowers
• A luminary with an opening for a candle or nightlight

No two owls will ever look alike!

Clay Adventure for Making One Owl Includes

• Stoneware clay
• Use of studio tools
• Bisque and glaze firings
• Studio glazes
• Guided instruction during both sessions

Dates

Part 1: Thursday, October 15 • 6:00-9:00 PM

Students will build, sculpt, carve, and personalize their owl.

Part 2: Thursday, October 29 • 6:00-9:00 PM

After bisque firing, students will glaze their owl and prepare it for its final firing.

*Members may use specific Member Discount Code for this class (found in Communities) if using their own clay. Discount Code must be used at checkout. No refunds will be given full registration.

Class Info

• Instruction will lead students to each hand-build their own pieces. All levels welcome.

• Adults Only (18 years and up) Only registered students are permitted in the studio.

• Two Classes... Class 1: Hand-build pieces with wet clay. Class 2: Glaze bisque fired piece.

• Included: all clay and glazes, use of tools and equipment, 2 kiln firings, guided instruction.

• We start classes promptly on time. Class Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. No make-ups for missed classes. Please email with any questions.
