Two Sundays, March 8 & 22, 2026; 1-4 PM

Dive into creativity with a two-part class that brings the magic of the ocean to your hands!
In Under the Sea Planter, you’ll handbuild a charming planter inspired by the textures, shapes, and creatures of the sea, and then glaze it to life with color.

Class 1: Handbuilding & Detailing
We’ll guide you in shaping your planter using handbuilding techniques, helping you create a sturdy, beautiful base. Then, let your imagination run wild—add waves, shells, coral, or any under-the-sea textures and designs that make your piece uniquely yours.

Class 2: Glazing & Finishing
Return to the studio to transform your planter with glaze! You’ll explore ways to highlight the textures and details you carved, experimenting with colors and finishes that evoke the depth and beauty of the ocean.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind planter that’s ready to hold a plant—and show off your artistic flair. Perfect for all skill levels, this class is a playful, hands-on way to bring a little ocean magic into your home.***

Class Info

• Instruction will lead students to each hand-build their own piece. All levels welcome.

• Adults Only (18 years and up) Only registered students are permitted in the studio.

• First Class... Hand-build pieces and embellish surface design. Students are encouraged to vary from demo style and incorporate self-expression.

• Second Class... glaze pieces that has been fired to bisque** **Pick up finished piece the following week.

• Included: all clay and glazes, use of tools and equipment, kiln firings, guided instruction.

• We start classes promptly on time. Class Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.  No make-ups for missed classes.
